Fun, fruity blender drinks may be a dieter's downfall. Most traditional pina coladas is usually upwards of 600 (! ) fat laden calories. But Esteban Ordoez, DonQs nation's brand ambassador and overseer of mixology, has finished the impossible -- your dog created a pina colada just for only around 150 consumption of calories.
We've tried it and pretty darn good. Possibly not your usual goopy, syrupy charming frozen drink, it's light, less cloying yet always icy and refreshing. We whizzed ours up in the Ninja food processor, which in turn does a bang-up career turning ice into slush. The recipe doesn't specify what amount of ice, but we used in regards to a cup per drink.
Here's typically the recipe, from DonQ Rum:
DonQ Lean Colada
2 oz. DonQ Coco rum
1 oz of. unsweetened pineapple juice
1/2 ounces coconut milk (we chosen Thai Kitchen canned gentle coconut milk)
Mix virtually all ingredients with ice in a very blender at high acceleration. Serve in a stemmed higher glass. Garnish with pineapple cut and cherry.
Approximately 150 consumption of calories.
(We also incorporated a splash of DaVinci sugar-free coconut syrup for one little extra calorie-free sweet taste. )
