Love these holiday parties! From the tinsel glittering at the trees to family and friends decked out in his or her gorgeous holiday attire, almost everything seems brighter. And, having said that, everything edible also would seem to be more tempting.

It's weight loss plan folly time, folks! That heaping platter of Christmas cookies at work (oh, look, Bob throughout Accounting made his Butterscotch Bourbon bon-bons! )... the bowls of candy with the bank... and the holiday gathering considering the egg nog, gingerbread, triple-whipped mashed oranges, and 15-layer Christmas white. You gotta love it all, right?

Wrong.

Skip the particular insanity by:

  • Taking ones own snacks to the place of work.
  • Keeping your own diet sweets from home to satisfy your desires.
  • Chewing sugar-free gum if you end up tempted to nosh regarding "free" candy.
  • Pre-planning ONE treat for a holiday gathering, whether that's a wafer-thin slice of dessert or one helping for potatoes.
  • Cook up fabulous treats which are diet-friendly, like S'Mores out of your Biggest Loser.
