Pete Mingoa of South S . fransisco was an ultra-runner, wife and father of a couple who, sadly, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of aneurysm in 2012.
As part of Marathon Maniacs, Mingoa had nearly reached Titanium status throughout the club, meaning he had almost completed among the list of following criteria: 52 marathons if not more within 365 days; 30 marathons through 30 US states, cities or Canadian provinces within just 365 days; or marathons inside 20 countries within 365 days or weeks.
Unfortunately, Mingoa do not reached his goal, but when he deceased his friends took it upon themselves in order to keep his mission and begun dedicating their races to help him. He achieved Titanium status the morning after his funeral previous September, and now his friends try to keep his memory alive when using the first annual Pete Mingoas Wedding Memorial Run.

Distances range coming from a half marathon to a new 50K, but theres also a fabulous virtual race for runners who would like to participate outside of that Bay Area. Virtual runners have the choice of completing 5K, 10K, half marathon or 100 % marathon distances within 7 days of the event.
Half from the proceeds from the event goes to Pete's memorial provide for, as well as 100 percent in the proceeds from the exclusive run.
