Penny Kris-Etherton, a Pennsylvania State University professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, carefully monitored the patients, using several other colleagues.

Three of this diets included the SPRINT diet, a Mayo Clinic-endorsed weight loss plan, and two diets this included more cuts from lean red meat.

Compared in the average American diet, both DASH diet and this diets that included incline red meat lowered LDL cholesterol, and "bad" cholesterol. It at the same time helped lower their all around cholesterol.

Participants dined on between 4 to 5. 5 ounces of lean red meat on a daily basis, which were fried, barbequed or braised.

While Minnesota nutritionists won't recommend chowing down on red meat to receive healthy, this does confirm who eating red meat for moderation can be beneficial for those who have abnormal cholesterol readings.

Key purpose: You can probably take pleasure in eating red meat whilst dieting, but make sure for this in moderation.
