Colorado Springs has brought a pretty mild winter the year of 2010. Not too much perfect, and when it will do snow, it's gone daily. There have been a plenty of days where one can like the weather and exercise external. There are many superb places to hike/walk throughout Colorado Springs. Ute Valley Park is one place that is definitely nice to hike through, but if that may be a little ovewhelming for most people, Garden of the Gods is another set up which to walk and hike.

Besides the actual Wellness Walk every Friday, Garden of the Gods provides paved and unpaved tracks to walk or stroll. As you drive throughout the park, there is a reasonably large parking lot within the left side where that Perkins Central Garden Trail is placed. The walkways here usually are paved and well-maintained, tend to be stroller and wheelchair on hand, and there is a restroom off left before you start the walk. It is a 1 1/2 mile loop and you will find less that a 30-foot rise using this trail, making it an excellent option for beginners.

A somewhat more challenging is the Siamese Mixed twins trail. It is an uncomplicated 1-mile loop with lower than 150-foot rise in level, making it great for those wanting a little bit more of a workout.

If you're ready to battle more, the Chambers/Bretag/Palmer Trail is mostly a moderate 3-mile trail nearly circling the park. It has less than just a 250-foot rise possesses a more rolling, rocky terrain off from traffic.

You can discover a full-color map of all trails in the Garden on the Gods Visitor and Design Center. The park can be open year-round (hours alter by season), and is liberated to the public. For much more information, please go to Garden with the Gods.
